A combination of two series created simultaneously during an intensely sad period. The colors are cheerful and light and dark at the same time. The works are painted with acrylic paint on 20 x 20 cm canvas. Pieces of (neon) paper have been added here and there and some of the works have gold leaf.
Speechless
The three girls depicted are speechless. Nor can they talk at all because they have no mouths. I made several attempts but couldn’t get a mouth painted. It says a lot about how I felt at the time and about how much effort it takes for me to express myself.
GT Adventures
The abstract paintings were done while enjoying some glasses of Gin & Tonic. Very relaxed and a free way of painting. I don’t drink often and then not very much, but that light buzz does make choices less complicated.
